「ほとんどの人」を英語にしましょう。
↓
↓
most of people
ではありませんよ~
↓
↓
almost people
でもありません。
↓
↓
Most people か Most of the people が正しい答えです。
ここで大切なのが of がついたらtheもつく!ということ。
「ほとんどの仕事」はどうでしょう?
↓
↓
Most of the work
ですね。
では。。。
「ほとんどの仕事は終わったよ」
↓
↓
I finished most of the work.
Most of the work を主語にして
↓
Most of the work is done.
もよく使います。
ofが出たらtheもつける!theの代わりにはmy/your/his/her/our/theirをつけますね。
「彼女のコンサートはほとんど行ったよ」
↓
「彼女の」なので”her”を使いますね。
↓
↓
I went to most of her concerts.
Most of the は大丈夫ですねV(^-^)V

Today`s blog comes from Taeko, a regular student of my Saturday Tour Tokyo class. Thanks, Taeko!!! She wrote this short speech using my Listen-Imitate-Communicate study method (たえこさんは●聞いて、真似して、real englishを身に付ける●勉強法でこのミニスピーチを作りました).
This is Kamiya-Bar.
Kamiya-bar is the oldest western bar in Japan.
This bar opened 130 years ago.And it’s famous for “Denki-bran”. Denki-bran is a brandy-based cocktail.
Many old novelists loved it. So they wrote about Kamiya-bar and Denki-bran in their novels.
If you wanna try it,you can drink in the bar and you can get a bottle of Denki-bran at the shop counter.
Kamiya Bar sounds cool, doesn` it? And the Tour Tokyo class is pretty cool, too, I think..hehehe…..

When you are stressed out or just really in the mood for an alcoholic beverage you can use the phrase, “I need a drink.” 「お酒必要」という意味なんだけど日本語では言わないと思います。 But it`s a cool expression to use sometimes, especially after you`ve had a long hard day. (特に仕事などで疲れたときに使います。) Actually I had a fun day today teaching Fun Topics and Tour Tokyo, but this phrase seems appropriate for the end of the week. So who needs a drink?! お酒飲みたい人いる? はあい!

Today`s useful phrase is….
(be) sick of [something/someone] 何か・誰かにウンザリした/何か・誰かに飽きた
This summer has been really hot, hasn`t it?! And today is September 1st and it`s still really hot!! So you may want to say, “I`m sick of this hot weather!” 「この暑さはもういい」ってことだね
(be) sick of + 名詞・動名詞 を使ってみてください
For example….
I`m sick of my boyfriend. 「彼氏に飽きちゃった」 (ちょっとひどいかな??? でも、時々好きな人にも飽きるでしょう・・・僕も飽きられたことあるし・・・・T_T)
I`m sick of pizza. (最近毎日ピザを食べていてもう食べたくないってこと)
I`m sick of work.
↑↑ これは名詞の”work”です。 動詞を使うと ing を付けてください…forexample….
I`m sick of working.
他の動名詞を使ってみましょう・・・
I`m sick of writing blogs. (これは例文だけね @_@ )
I`m sick of teaching English. (これも、もちろん、just an example ですよ!)
be 動詞のかわりに get を使うと 「飽きている」か「飽きた」じゃなくて、「飽きる」 と言う意味になります。 例えば・・・・
I don`t think I will ever get sick of teaching English. (ずっと英語を教えることに飽きないと思う・・・本当だよ!)
If you eat sushi every day you will gert sick of it. (もし毎日寿司を食べるとあきるよ)
Okay, well, that`s enough….I`m starting to get sick of writing about this phrase…so…
See you!
