Today is Friday!  For most working people Friday is the start of the weekedn and a good time to go out for a drink after  work.  In English it`s fun to say…TGIF!

日本語で花金って言うかな?　But I`ve never really heard that expression in everyday conversation.  (花金ってあまり言わないでしょう・・・。）　But “TGIF” is a popular phrase.   And you can combine “TGIF” with phrases from Tae`s go + 動詞 blog from last week:

TGIF, baby!  Let`s go have a drink!     (金曜日が来たぜ！　飲みに行こう！）みたいな・・・

or…

Thank God it`s Friday!   Now let`s get drunk!　　（金曜日だよ！　酔っ払おう！）

or…お酒が好きじゃない方も使えますよ・・・

TGIF!  I`m gonna go home and sleep till noon tomorrow!     （家に帰って明日の昼まで寝る!)

So what are your plans for tonight?  I`m going to a スナック in 武蔵小山 tonight to sing karaoke and drink whiskey….ってことは・・・TGIF, baby!!!
