Let’s compare the following(次の文を比較してみましょう)
 
①I have all kinds of flavors besides caramel.
 
②I have all kinds of flavors except caramel.

Can you tell the difference between besides and except? (違いが分かりますか?)
 
Besidesは 「～以外にも」, Exceptは「～以外に」です。

従って①は「キャラメル以外にも、いろいろな味があるよ」

②は「キャラメル以外ならいろいろな味があるよ」となります。

文を組み立てるコツは“besides”と“except”の後ろにある名詞を含むのか、含まないのか、です。

キャラメルを含んだ以外のものも好きなら、“besides。”キャラメルを含まないものが好きなら“except”です。
では。。。次を訳して見ましょう。
 
●チョコ以外に、ケーキも好きよ●

↓

チョコも好きなら“besides,”チョコ以外が好きなら“except”ですよ～

↓

I like cake…

↓

I like cake besides chocolate.

が正解です♪

では次。。。

●チョコ以外の、甘いものは好きよ●

↓

Let’s think! チョコも好きなのか、チョコ以外が好きなのか…

↓

I like all sweets except chocolate.

が正解です。甘いものを“sweets”にできたあなたは英語に慣れていますね（^-^）

sweet foods よりsweets とした方がよりネイティブらしくなります。

In my case, I like all kinds of sweets besides chocolate♪

I guess you can tell I have a sweet tooth! But I need to watch my waistline….

Let`s + 動詞の原型

You can use it in a formal situation or a business situation:

     Let`s have a meeting.     (ミーテイングしましょう)

     Let`s talk about the report.     (リポートについて話しましょう）

     Let`s call him.     (彼に電話しましょう)

Of course, you can use “Let`s” in a casual situation, too:

     Let`s go out for a drink!     (一杯を飲みに行こう）

    Let`s kiss!    (キスしよー!）  ほら！すごく役に立つ言い回しじゃない？) ^^

     Let`s make dinner together.     (一緒に夕飯作ろう)

There are a lot of ways to greet someone in English.  英語でいろいろなあいさつがあります。

中一の英語であいさつしてみましょう・・・

“How are you? →　I`m fine, thank you.”

Well, this way of saying hello is, well…fine.  But it`s not so popular amongst native speakers and many students use this greeting script too much.  (これは教科書のせりふみたい　もっと自然に話したかったら下のあいさつも使ってみてください)

①　A) Hey!　→　B) Hi!

②　A) Hey, how you doin`?　→　B) Good, how about you? →　A) Not bad.

③　A) Hi, how`s it goin`?　→　B) Pretty good.  How`s it goin` with you? →　A) Good, good.

④　A) Hey, how are you? →　B) Great!  How are YOU doin`? →　A) Never been better. →　B) Cool.

Use “Great” and “Never been better” when you are feeling really good.  (“Great”  と　”Never been better” は超元気な時に使います。)

For 「まだ何々してない」 in English we use the present perfect tense (現在完了形), not the present or past tense.　　

「今日まだご飯食べてない」　　→　　”I don`t eat yet today” ✘

これはよくあるミスです。でも「まだ何々してない」と言おうとしたら現在完了形を使えば簡単にもうちょっとnativeっぽく話せます！

「今日まだご飯食べたい」は　→　　”I haven`t eaten yet today.” 〇

「まだ行ってない」は　　→　　”I don`t go there yet”じゃなくて

「まだ行ってない」は　　→　　”I haven`t gone there yet”　は合ってます。

more examples…

まだ会ってない　　→　　We don`t meet yet. ✘

まだ会ってない　　→　　”We didn`t meet yet ” はそんなに変じゃないけど文法的には合ってない。

まだ会ってない　　→　　”We haven`t met yet.” 〇

まだ掃除してない　　→　　”I don`t clean my apartment yet.” ✘

まだ掃除してない　　→　　”I haven`t cleaned my apartment yet.” 〇

have/has + 過去分詞 + yet　の形を使えば簡単でしょう？！
