Many students make a mistake when they say 「楽しみ」 in English. Here is a recent email exchange I had with a friend of mine:
花子: I`m looking forward to see you!
ボブ: Me too! By the way, for 「何々を楽しみにしてる」use this pattern…
I’m looking forward to + 名詞/動名詞。 For example…
“I’m looking forward to Friday!” or “I’m looking forward to seeing you, too!”
花子: 何でseeing になるの??seeはダメ?
ボブ: うん「see」 は変です。 日本人は to の次に必ず動詞が入ると思っているみたいでよく使うけど正確なパターンは “I’m looking forward to 名詞/動名詞”だから動詞の原型の see や go はおかしいです。 さぁ~行くのを楽しみにしてるって英語でなんつ言うのでしょうか??
花子: 「I`m looking forward to going.」??
ボブ: Yes! that`s right!
Well, here are some more examples:
I`m looking forward to summer.
I`m looking forward to the weekend.
I`m looking forward to doing nothing this Sunday. (今度の日曜日ゴロゴロダラダラするのを楽しみにしてるってこと。)
I`m looking forward to playing poker at Genie this Saturday. [あなたも土曜日の無料の Games Cla

Hello
Getting hot day by day. How’s everyone doing?
Try to imagine the following. 次の場面を思い浮かべて下さい。
友達と一緒にピザ
をとることにしました。ピザのメニューを見て一言。
「どれを注文しようか」
このように「~しようか」の場面には”should“をよく使います
Which should we order?
他のsituation も見てみましょう。
①どこに行こうか。
②何を食べようか。
③どのケーキにしようか。
④いつ旅行に行こうか。
⑤どこで待ち合わせようか。
use “should” for ①~⑤
Here are the answers(^-^)
①Where should we go?
②What should we eat?
③Which cake should we get?
④When should we take a trip?
⑤Where should we meet?
学校では「~すべき」と習った”should.” 今回のように「~しようか」として是非使ってみて下さいね

Today is hot and very humid, isn`t it?! Because it`s the rainy season!
梅雨と言うのは・・・・
the rainy reason と言います。
And 「湿度が高い」は・・・
It`s humid.
So if you want to say 「梅雨だから湿度が高い」 in English, you can say…
It`s humid because it`s the rainy season.
So dress cool and be cool! And catch you later (^_-)

I`ve often heard this phrase in Japan:
“The weather is very changeable.” But it`s not real English. 「変わりやすい」と「changeable」はかなり違う意味ですからね。You should probably say…
The weather is unpredictable.
And for 最近のこと you should use the 現在完了形 so let`s also practice this sentence….
The weather has been unpredictable lately.
Well, that`s all for today. Catch you later!

Do you love food? I do! I love all kinds of food and I especially love Korean, Mexican, Italian, Indian, Thai, Ethiopian, Nepalese, Turkish, Hawaiian, and Spanish food. Oh, and, of course I love Japanese food, too (^_-) Especially sushi and sashimi!! And I also love eating out. I go out to eat every night. 毎日外食してるよ!ってことは、「ボブはグルメだね」って言えますよね?! In English you can say…
Bob is an epicure!
Check your pronunciation here → http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/epicure
“Gourmet,” which comes from French, is also English but has a different meaning from the Japanese グルメ. “Gourmet” and 「グルメ」は意味がかなり違うけど「グルメ」と “epicure” は一緒だと思います。 So, if you love food, too, let`s practice this new cool word!
Are you an epicure?
Do you have any friends who are epicures?
I don`t like going out to eat so much, but my boyfriend is an epicure.
