In English there isn’t really a noun like 「ナンパ」。 英語で「ナンパ」の名詞はあまりないと思うんですけどよく使う動詞はあります。So, how do you say 「ナンパする」in English??
hit on [someone]。 Here are some examples…
Did you hit on Nancy? (ナンシーをナンパした?)
No, I hit on Hanako. (ううん、花子をナンパしたよ。)
日本語の場合はだいたい受身を使うでしょう。 For example…
「この間スタバでイギリス人のおじさんにナンパされた。」 英語でも受身を使えます。 For example, “The other day at Starbucks I was hit on by a middle-aged British guy”って言ってもいいんだけど、英語だったら active sentence (受身じゃない方ね)のほうが使われている。 For example…
The other day at Starbucks a middle-aged British guy hit on me.
So, has anyone hit on you recently? (^_-) Or have you hit on anyone?? (^_-)v If so, I hope you were successful! And I hope to have a successful and fun and free trial lesson here at ☆GENIE☆ with you someday soon! Catch you later!

Hi everybody! Summer vacation is over…(T_T) But I had fun! And I had fun teaching again today (^^)
Anyway…summer vacation and お盆休み are over so…お盆の後によく話題になることをちょっと練習しましょう・・・
I went to the cemetery.☆ (発音チェックはこちらへ→http://www.thefreedictionary.com/cemetery)
質問にすると・・・
Did you go to the cemetery?
Well, that`s all for today! I hope you enjoyed your お盆 vacation and I hope to Enjoy English with you someday soon here at GENIE. Catch you later!
Bob
☆本当の意味は「墓地に行った」と言う意味なんですけが、英語ではお墓の “graves” より 墓地の “cemetery” の方が自然に聞こえます。 Gravesって・・・ホラー映画や怖い話のニュアンスがありますから。

Hi everybody. I hope you had a nice summer vacation! I did!!
Well, here is a phrase all students of English should know and use:
kind of.
“Kind of” has many different uses so it’s VERY useful. 色々な使い方があるので kind of ってとっても役に立つ言い回しだと思います。
Here are some examples…
Example ①
A: Do you like Chinese food?
B: Kind of. (ちょっとねっていう意味ですね。)
Example ②
A: What is okonomiyaki?
B: It’s a kind of pancake. But it`s not sweet. (パンケーキの種類ですね。 甘くないけど。)
Example ③
I’m kind of confused. (ちょっと混乱してる。)
It’s kind of hot in here. (ここはちょっと暑いね。)
Well, it`s kind of late and I`m kind of tired so that`s all for today. Catch you later!
