How was your three-day weekend? Mine was good! I got a lot of rest and worked out yesterday.
Well…今日のフレーズは三連休には全然関係ないんですけど今日のフレーズも役に立てると思いますよ。 とにかく、ネイティブはこの言い回しをよく使うので・・・練習しましょう！！ ↓↓
It’s not a big deal. (大したことないよ。)
Here are some examples…
Example ① at home
A) Oh, sorry, I forgot to turn on the foyer light. (あ！ごめん！玄関の電気を付けるの忘れた。)
B) That’s okay, it’s no big deal. (いや！大したことないよ。)
Example ② – at a restaurant
Customer) Can I have some apple pie?
Waitress) I’m so sorry, we’re out of apple pie. (あっアップルパイは売り切れちゃったんですよ！ 申し訳ございません。)
Customer) Oh, it’s no big deal. I’ll have cherry pie instead. (いや、大丈夫ですよ！ チェリーパイにします！)
Example ③ At work
We had a good month last month. We got four new clients and lost only one client, 〇〇さん。 But that’s no big deal. He was a pain-in-the-neck customer, anyway. (先月調子が良かったです。 新しいお客さん４人も捕まえたし、辞めたお客さんの人数は１人だけでした。 それに、その辞めた人は面倒くさい客だったから別に大したことないし。)
